Hey guys, I'm looking to lift my 2001 XJ Sport. I've decided on the RE 3.5" Super Ride lift with rear leafs, but I'm unsure of what I need for the SYE. I know I need one, and I know I will need a new drive shaft with that, but other than that, I'm at a loss. I was looking at this http://www.jeep4x4center.com/slip-yo...ub-re1807.html for the SYE, but I'm not sure if that's right, and I'm also not sure what I need to do about the drive shaft. Also, some recommendations on shocks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
i would wait and see if you have vibes till i got it or unless you want to go higher

Okay. Should I also get a steering stablizer, adjustable track bar, or shim set with this? And what would be some good tires that won't break bank, like BFG would? :P

If your SS is bad you could get another one but a performance one or whatever is a waste of money. Adj. track bar: yes. Shims: i would go ahead and get em... I would check your local CL for cheap tires but if you want new just check tire rack or there is a vendor on here "onlinetiredeals" or whatever his name is...

I'm just not sure if that's right, as it may be Jeep specific.

Alright, sounds like I was on the right track. Assuming I would need an SYE, which drive shaft would I need? Most builds seem to have this: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/33-5-ru...98-335.html#tc
I'm just not sure if that's right, as it may be Jeep specific.

Track Bar: double shear from where ever (IRO, RK, RE [not double shear but still a good one])
SYE kit: http://www.rustysoffroad.com/advance...riveshaft.html the DS will be a lot longer btw thats for a wrangler...

If I add 2" coil spacers and 1.5" shackles on top of a 3" RC country lift, will I need a SYE or track arm bracket? What else can ya'll think of that I might need?

Budget Boost Question
I just purchased a FAT BOBS GARAGE budget boost. It consists of 3" Coil spacers, and 1.5-2 inch rear shackles.
Here is the link for that lift:
Before i ask my question id like everyone to know that i understand this isnt the best way to lift a jeep but for $100 it will do till income tax time. I have also searched google for answers with no immediate luck.
The jeep has had the front springs replaced and rear leafs replaced with HD OEM springs about 10k Miles ago by previous owner. (Have paperwork proof).
It will be going on my 1988 4 Door cherokee. 4.0l 4x4
My question is will i need new shocks if i net around 2.5 inches from the lift? The shocks are fairly new and would rather not buy new if i do not have to.

This jeep will be street driven by my wife, occasionally going out on some dirt roads maybe 2-3 times a year. We wouldnt be flexing or anything like that. Do you still think there would be any issues?
I could replace the shocks in a couple weeks anyways.
Also What do you think would be the best way to get the coil spacers in?
Take tires off, jack the uniboddy up, let shock bolts loose, lower axel and jack up each side 1 at a time and shove it in or what. ( Never done a lift)

Jack up jeep
Place jack stands under unibody
Remove tires
Remove shocks
Remove sway bar links
Remove track bar
Drop axle
Remove spring
Install spacer
Reverse list
Enjoy.

Can i remove the track bar from the axel side? also could i do all of this without needing an allignment afterwards? the jeep rides pretty straight and no funny tire wear issues.
