And longer brake lines, but most kits come with those.

Steering Ive got, adjustable trackbar, trackbar relocation bracket and a drop pitman arm

Yup regarding the front drive sharft, my apologies for any confusion.

But 99superjeep01 answered my Q, seems like something less to worry about. when I'm going to do my SYE I'm going to make the rear drive shaft the same as the front one.

thanks guys

Glad we could help. Anyone have input if 13.5" width tires would be too much for a 9" rim?

I don't see why they would be.

I run 12.5" wide tires on an 8" rim and still blow the bead off every now and then.

Some tire places are idiots and try to tell you they won't fit... They'll fit.

New owner of a 98 Limited. Other than 30s on it for tires, it is completely stock.

I want to buy a lift and pretty much decided on new 4.5 inch kit with short arms due to budget.

I came across a deal on 5.5 inch LA kit from Iron Rock. It is new in the box but local. Reasonable price and no shipping charges.

I know the LA kit is preferable, but do I want to go to 5.5 inches on a daily driver?

How small a tire could I run? Would it be ok to use the 30's I already have?
Death wobble, other things I would have to mod?

What pressure do you air down to? Cause the only time i've come anywhere close to popping a bead is while winching at an obscene angle to recover someone. I was at about 18 psi. While moving myself around I never have issues.

Personally, for a DD I prefer a much smaller lift. I run a 3" lift with 31's on my DD. It just makes for a nicer ride.

I tend to run around 8-10psi depending on how much air has leaked out over time. The only time I have an issue with it is when I'm turning hard one way or the other while traveling down a steep hill. (Pretty much all of the weight of the Jeep on one side wall.

Yes you can use the 30's but it would look a bit goofy. My driver sits at 7" and rides fine with a LA kit. I wouldn't worry about 5.5" at all. Sounds like you found yourself an awesome deal! Only time I've ever had a wobble was because of unbalanced tires.

Yeah I never go down that low, so you think the added pressure would help hold it on then? I only air down occasionally anyways. I'll be getting a full size spare so if it did pop I'd be ok.

Carry some air and a jack and you don't need the spare...

Yeah, I've never blown a bead running more than 15psi.

Well, I've got a compressor. But I doubt it could fill a tire off the bead. And a hi lift is always available. My reasoning for the spare is to rotate it in to help the life of all the tires. Plus for emergencies. Thanks for the info, it's nice to get it from someone who's had personal experience. Plus it'll save me some pesos on getting new rims when I don't really need them.

Those are 29" tires. 30" tires will look prettu goofy. But like i siad. Pick it up if you can. Its an amazing kit. Run 33's on it and it looks great.

Your ride quality is so much better wth long arms

I have a rough country 3" on the front of my jeep but the rear got around 4-5 inches with my bastard pack. I was wondering if it would be possible to get 1-2 more inches in the front with coil spacers? Again, in the rear there are 3" rough country lift shocks but the lift is around 5. The shocks are working for the rear, so I could do it in the front too right?
