awesome, gearing was a concern.. if you can throw up a couple pics that would be awesome.. trying to see a mental image when you are tired is pretty hard

You dont have to regear, I havent. I wish I had because I know the increase in power that comes from it but I got 31's on 4" lift and I still drive it everyday. Just takes a little longer to get up hill. I will be regearing as soon as I can afford them though

Lol, I have 31s on 3" of lift. On super windy days or really steep hills on the highway I have to downshift into 4th to maintain speed. I can't wait to get an 8.25 with at least 3.55s.

One day(see within the next 2-3 years) I will eventually have front and rear, sleeved, trussed, and locked D44s, running Chromoly Shafts with 4.56s or 4.88s and running 37x12.50 Maxxis Trepadors for the trail and some cheap mud-terrians or all terrains in 35x12.50 form for the street. The biggest thing thats irritating...37s run about $1,300 per set of 4

Yes, I'm aware I have big plans for my XJ. My though process is this: go big or go home. Why would I spend my hard earned money in steps? I'll just deal with being small for now while I pile up the funds to go from D30/35 on 31s to D44/D44 on 37s

so im thinkin a 3.5 lift runnin 32 bfgs in the near future.. any lift stand out more than others in your opinion? i was lookin at the rc's and am very interested.. another q i have is the add a leaf vs new.. i understand the whole sagging prob with current aals.. i also thought maybe new would be too stiff? thanks for the quick help guys i really appreciate your input!!

I did the 3" from RC and 31's and felt it was a little tight. But I didnt trim. My new leaf packs from them were great though.

I would stay far, far away from Rough Country. They screwed with me for 6 weeks waiting for parts for my lift kit. I will never do business with those losers again.
Check out Zone Offroad. They shipped my kit out the day I ordered it and you can't beat the price. If they had offered a kit over 4.5" I would have gotten my new one from them instead of messing with Rough Country. Decided to go a different route now after the fiasco with RC. Gonna keep my 3" lift and run my 33's with it.

sounds far from the norm for Rough Country. From the multiple people I know of who've done business with them and talking to them myself, they have some of the best customer service I've had the pleasure of experiencing.

I'd say go with the rough country stuff. they make good parts and stand behind their warranty along with quick shipping and good customer service.

Simple question, could not find it in the search bar () ...

The tires Im looking at getting with my 4.5" kit are Nitto Dune Grapplers.

1. Im not getting different tires.

2. Will the 33x12.50's fit? They're overall diameter is 32.48".
-If they wont fit or have rubbing issue's is there something else I can do to make them fit without cutting the body in any way shape of form.

If not, then I will have to move down to a 31" tire. What would be the best backspacing for a 31x10.50 Tire? I want it to stick out, not to far, but just enough.

I have a stock 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited, my stock tires 225 -75-16 are worn out and I need to replace. Can I replace with 245 -70 -16 without experiencing any rub issues?

They might get close, it really depends on if your springs are sagging, and if so, how much. They should be fine though.

When do you really need a slip yoke eliminator?
I'm planning to put 3 lift on it with 4.10 gears all the way around

You should be fine without an SYE. General consensus is that its might be needed at 4.5 and once you get to 6 or above its a must.
