i like wider tires on both street and trail. just because i drive like a bat outta hell when i get a fire call and the wide lowcog setup feels alot more stable at higher speeds when cornering.
like lowrange said, matter of opinion really. it can get technical but lets not go there. lol

I prefer fatty mcfat**** tires. Currently running 15.5. Before that it was 14. Before that it was 12.5. Didnt really like 12.5 but it might have been because my wheels weren't sticking out very far. They sure drove better on the street though.

Lift opinions please
Opinions please on Rustys 4.5 short arm kit with full packs. I want a decent lift that will not break my wallet and this is the one i have been looking at. What does everybody think? I have an 87 cherokee laredo.

Which lift to get?
Hey guys new here and I am probably picking up my second xj this weekend. I owned a older one when I was younger and kept it fairly stock. Looking to put a mild lift on the new one I am picking up debating 3"-4.5" This wont be my daily driver but I make a 90 mile journey to go shooting once a month that is all highway. I am not looking to go crazy with tires and I dont want to trim the fenders I really would like a 3" lift with some 31x10.5 but have also been thinking of 4.5" to get on some LT325. I would really appreciate any input you have on the matter.

Minimal of 4" id go either 4 or 3.75. I dont much care for my tires to stick WAYY out.. 4.5 lift on 33x12.5s on 3.75 back spacing (15x8 rim) = Good stuff!
