That chart works for 2wds as well. The gear is just in the transmission tail housing.

Hay all..

I am looking for a little help with deciding on a lift. I am looking to run no bigger then 33" tires and for the most part I am just looking for some trail riding since I am so new and it is my DD. I have some TJ, I know some don't like the look BUT, and I am not really worried about trimming a lot. I have sorta decided I will go with RE since RC doesn't seem to be available in my area and the people I have talked to at RC don't seem to care about whether I buy or not. I have been looking at the 3.5" (http://www.justjeeps.com/product.php?productid=28828&cat=0&page=1) and their 4.5" (http://www.justjeeps.com/product.php?productid=28837&cat=0&page=1).
And I am not really sure what the difference is with their 3.5" (http://www.justjeeps.com/product.php?productid=28819&cat=0&page=1)

I don't really know if going with the 4.5" is going to be worth the extra $400 since I won't be doing anything crazy. I just don't know if the 3.5" will be big enough and don't want to waste the money by doing it over if I get the 3.5" and need a little more...

I also really like the look of a dessert truck over a rock crawler high lift truck... Plus if I want to go nuts with a lift and water crossings I will more then likely go with a TJ since most people run them here.

HELP I am driving my self nuts trying to figure out if a 3.5 is big enough to run 33" with TJ flares and some trimming.

Plenty of ppl on here run 33s on a 3in lift. All of them however have trimmed fenders and proper bumpstopping. Even with tj flares and a 3.5in lift, you're gonna need to trim a little or bumpstop more. To answer your question, yes it will work, just make sure you trim/bumpstop enough

Does anyone by any chance have the dimensions of the stock leaf plate? I'm fabbing up some bumpstop plates, but my Xj is in the shop right now. I mostly need the exact distance between holes. Thanks in advance

I could go measure one but you accomplish the same thing by measuring your u bolts and the width of the leaf spring.

Its dark and raining here or i would go measure for you, but you know the leaf packs are 2.5 inches wide, and depending on what axle you have your tubes are 2.75 or 3 inches for 35/44 or 8.25, so around 3 inches center to center one way and either 3.25 or 3.5 inches center to center the other way.
