Do you really want 15x8 wheels for 31x10.50 tires? I have that size wheel for the 33x12.50 I just put on.

I had 31x10.50s on a 15x8, I never aired down with those though.

I run a set of 31x10.50s on a set of 15x8s and a set of 35x12.50s on a set of 15x8s.

The only difference is the back spacing and the fact that I never air down the 31s.

If I were to wheel 31s I'd prefer they be on a set of stock wheels.

I ran a set of 30x9.50's on a 15x8 wheel. Never lost a bead but I also never aired down less than 18lbs.

awesome info; thanks guys. sounds like i may be under-tired for the 15x8s according to some of you. I may just save the money and go with the stock jeep wheels then. If I rub control arms I will adjust steering stop.

Im looking to lift my 99 xj mildly i want to have it on 30s right now biggest i might go in the future is 31s. I'm going to need tires prior to winter so i figure why buy stock tires. my rear is pretty saggy practically flat leafs. Whats the cheapest proper way i can do it with a suspension lift? what size should i go?

You can either go with a budget boost or a full lift. If you want quality and just a small lift you can get the 1.5" Old Man Emu Lift. Comes with new leafs, coils, and shocks (i believe). If you want to possibly go bigger in the future go with a tad bigger lift and stay cheap go with a Rough Country or a Rusty's offroad 3 inch kit with full leaf packs.

i did a quick search...800$ for a 1.5" lift? can that be? for someone on a budget of lets say 400$ whats my best bet?

Piece it together and be patient or go with rough country. But I'm telling you now, you're not gonna get full packs and a brand new lift for under $400

We were all new at one time. Just save your money and do it right the first time. I know its hard, but it will pay off in the end.
