If you go with the sye you don't need a tcase drop.

A TC drop is a bandaid and it sacrifices ground clearance. A sye solves the problem but it is a little more expensive. If you stay at about 3-4" then the tc drop will suffice. If you ever plan on going higher, id go with a sye. Some say just get the sye, some say a tc drop is all you need.

I don't disagree, but a TC drop is a handful (literally) for bolts and spacers. You could probably still hold a beer in the same hand. So I'd say an SYE is A LOT more expensive.

My RE 4.5" lift is more like 6" right now in it's pre settling stage. No grinding, popping or vibration. I'm getting an SYE/VC in a few months but going on a trip without it in a couple weeks.

Jsuk, i run a tc drop with the only problem being it tends to drag on the rocks. I just can't afford a sye right now. Lol

I know this may sound dumb at the moment but I am wondering what is the maximum tire size I can run stock in my 98 cherokee without any problems until I scrounge up the money for a lift?

235/75 will cause zero rubbing. If you are willing to trim, the possibilities are endless

i was reading that f150 springs lift an xj 4.5 inche has anyone done this and how does it look??

I can't imagine it rides anything but stiff as hell though. Dunno.
