Goodyear, BFG, mickey thompson, any of the big names are good.
Here, this is a pretty nice little article.

Thinking about putting some rims and tires off of a 96 cherokee onto my 88 cherokee for now so i can have some tread until i lift it and get different wheels. Will the wheels off of a 96 cherokee fit mine? Even though they are 16 inch rims and mine are 15 inch rims. Is the offset the same as well with the the lug pattern?

Yes. The bolt pattern is the same.
The 16" wheels aren't OEM wheels tho so they could have different offsets.
Basically, they'll look the same on your Jeep as the other Jeep.

Re: Rustys Lifts
Looking into getting an inexpensive 4.5" lift. My Cherokee came with a rustys 3" and it seems to be working out great so I'm thinking about using them again. Everything I've read has been people love or hate them. If you hate them what do you hate and/or what would you recommend instead. Any info would be much appreciated.
So i just recently got a Rustys 4.5 full leaf pack kit, set me back about 800 bucks with shipping. Now i totally agree with what you said, everyone either hates them or loves them....personally, rusty ****ed me with the u bolts for my kit, gave me 2 1/16 which fit my dana 30, but not the dana 35 rear which i ordered through him. After calling to complain, nothing was resolved, i could pay the 10-15 bucks to ship him the old ones back and get new ones, but at that point i just bought new bolts at the hardware store for 20 bucks and told him to suck it. Other than that, mostly everything else went smooth with the lift, kit was complete, gave me everything i needed, 4.5 lift with a t case drop and 6 degree shims was enough to give me no drive line vibrations to date, its been about a month or just over. As far as quality goes, i say it is good, but some stuff definatly lacks...t case spacers cheap plastic...leafs are decent for the price, but could have been made better too, my lower most leaf kept walking around for weeks and id have to retighten it, probably done that a half a dozen times on each rear wheel. Id figure that to be somewhat normal for those bolts to loosen over time, but i would have put another set of leaf mounts to hold that leaf in.
Sooo, all in all, for what you get, its not a bad deal...next time i would probably not go with them just cause of the bad customer service (not to mention i asked for some extra stickers for my xj and he sent me one, haha good one) and ive heard other companies are wayy better, but also expect to pay alot more for a similar complete kit with shocks, track bar, full leaf packs, etc. If on a buget id just do spacers and shackles, maybe set you back 100-150 bucks.
Anyone else got a good Rustys story?

Rusty himself is an ******* who won't give you the time of day much less take the time to fix something he screwed up.
In the last 8 years the only thing on my Jeep that came from that original kit are the coil springs.

And ive had my iro kit for 2 1/2 years. With zero issues. They have helped me out when i asked thwm too, and sent me a **** load of stickers when i asked for them.
Hmmmm, why do u hate iro again?

The company is great. They just need to rethink their LA kit design.
Give me 20 minutes and a crayon and I can make IRO LAs awesome.
