I agree I was going to purchase steelies w my tires anyway so might as well go that route. How much should I trim off my fenders not sure if I should go with the bushwackers or I read some where about I think it was the rear fender flair off of a grand cherokee or something long those lines.

Whats the thoughts on transfer case drop kits or angel blocks under the leafs? I just put a 3" lift kit on and acquired a bit of vibration.

I think you meant 'angle blocks,' by which I think you mean shims. TC drops are generally regarded as bad because it just moves the problem from your driveshaft, forward. If shims fix it, that's a good route. If not, the best method is an SYE.

Is an SYE enough to lengthen the driveling for a 4.5" lift?

With an SYE, the stock driveshaft needs to be replaced. A front XJ driveshaft can be made to work in the rear at that point, or a custom shaft can be ordered. There is a ton of info on SYEs here and on sites. I suggest searching and learning how it works.

When y'all bend the hard brake lines in the front to go straight, how do you attach the bracket to the hole there? The sock one is threaded but the other is not

Just use a 3/8 self tapper and put the bracket where you want it. If you don't have a self tapper you can use a sheet metal screw, just drill a tiny hole for it to start in.

Do I need to shim my axle when using a sye? I'm confused that.

I want to use a front shaft on the rear would that make a difference?

Yes, you want the pinion u joint to be straight, all the angle should be at the cv joint. Does that make sense?

Yea makes sense. I know I seen a diagram before outlining what the angles should be.

So basically, the pinion and the shaft should be "pointing" at each other. Right? Lol

Anyone know what degree shim would be ideal with 6.5" or slightly higher.

If you have longer shackles 6* would be perfect

It will have extended shackles and shackle relocation boxes (RC).

I'll order up some. Was thinking of getting some kind of gussets pieces for the tirdy anyways...

Do shim blocks really add lift? IROs website said they do but I haven't heard that before. I mean I guess they add space between axle and leaf but how much? My damn lift keeps getting bigger on the rear lol

Aprox 1/4 inch but you could always put a 1 inch lift shackle instead of the 2"

Or the 2" may have a hole for 1.5" inch lift... So you should be set except for still having a Dana 30 lol time for 1 tons!!!! Lol

Yea those RC shackles have 2 holes. So it'll be something I have to play with.

1 tons? In the future maybe. Not til I get some damn wheeling in. Been working on this 91 since early April. I don't get much time to work on it. I just want it done so I can go off road again. Been sooooo long.
