Yes sir, both tires off the ground turning the driver side tire as if the jeep was moving forward.

I'd probably suggest leaving one tire on the ground.

The only reason I ask is because the guy I brought it to ended up being pretty shady and I'm wondering if he put them in at all. Its a 01 auto 4.0 with 3.55s stock and it doesn't feel like there was much of an acceleration change. Also in over drive at 55mph I'm well under 2000 rpm.

Any help?
Why did you get 4.10 gears for 33s? The right ratio is 4.56 for 33s your speedo is still off. I'd pull the cover and count the teeth since you are having trouble with other methods.

4.10s are the correct match for gearing with 33s, the reason why most choose 4.56s are because the little extra gearing help make up for the added weight of the tires.

I mean, if that's what you wanted. IMO, 4.10s won't make a big enough difference to fool with. If I were running 33s I'd run 4.56s.

4.10s will be fine tho.

I thought 4.10s were right for a manual xj with 33s and 4.56 for an auto?

It's ultimately a matter of preference and which chart you go by.

4.56 will be closer to a peppy stock gear/tire. 4.10 will be slight below average.

According to this chart 33's should use 4.27s.

this is my understanding. Close to stock ratio, slightly on the power side. Good balance of economy and power for a road driven rig.

Ktmracer has a great low cog writeup, search for that. With trimming and proper bumpstops, 35's.

Looking for LCA advice. 3 inch lift, stock arms at the moment. Tire clearance not an issue. Will something like WJ arms improve anything? Ride quality, flex, strength? Is it worth it? What about JK rear UCAs, read the JY sticky that said they're a little longer, but are they right for a 3 inch lift? Long arms are not an option, nor are new aftermarket. Pretty much limited to JY parts (I'm poor). Thanks guys.

A can of spinach will make the arms stronger and much more beefy. Learned that as a child.

The WJ control arms should improve ride quality. And why not save up and buy something that will last.

Junk yard will rape you on cost. Probably half of what you could buy new ones.

I just bought spare D35 axles (2 of them since they're different lengths) for $40 each. Probably could have got chrome moly shafts for less than double that.

Because I don't want to save up and dump a ton of money into my Jeep that cost me 1500 dollars lol. My main love is my motorcycle, the Jeep is my toy. I'm just trying to improve it where I can. I feel accomplished making big improvements for little bits of money. If I saved up and bought $200 adjustable control arms I'd feel like it was far too much going into one part when I could have put just $40 towards arms, $80 towards headlight housings and an H4 harness, and still had $80 left to get a replacement for my ****ty TPS that's on the fritz lol.

The guys at my local JY are awesome and told me if I jack it up and pull it myself I can have the LCAs for 20 a piece. Just have to find a WJ in there, have only been raping XJs so far haha.
