I just had my Jeep lifted 3 inches today...while driving home, i noticed that there was vibration between 30-40mph right under my seat.

i know that the driveshaft is now at a new angle, but would a lift of only 3 inches really affect the transfer case at all? or could it be a bad u-joint?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

Cherokee's after 96 don't like new drive line angles very much. I would first check for play in your uni-joints in the entire drive line first. I would also consider a tranfercase drop or a slip yoke eliminator.

x2. A transfer case drop would be the easiest and cheapest route you could go. You can peice together your own parts for the drop at a hardware store. The only thing you need is longer bolts for the crossmember and some solid spacers. They sell them in different lengths. 1" is ideal for that. probly will cost less then a kit shipped to you.

Ok I'm looking at 2" lift kits two questions a) do I need new shocks? I don't offroad a ton and when I do it's pretty mild. And are shackles or add a leafs better?

Need new shocks? No. Are they better? Of course. Shackles are better unless your leafs are shot, then replace them

Go to a JY. or upgrade. when it breaks. you upgrade. The code of the XJ world. lol. that or you can just go to Junkyard and pull some leafs from a s10. or bronco maybe. bronco s will be VERY stiff. very unforgiving.

Raise the body of the Jeep the height you want it to sit then weld all the leaf springs to each other.

I run 31x10.5's on a stocker,01 2dr 4x4. Have been for about 6 weeks. Only rubs on full turns. Can't Offroad or flex at all but fine for a DD. lift should arrive any day now. I ordered an OME 2.5" kit. Hope this helps.

I need some info i have 3.5 RE and 33 12.50 15 kumho on a 2000 xj, Ive cut my fenders and i have bushwalkers installed how much of a lift would be ok for my tyres? and what can i do for SYE installation
