I know that I should qualify the question better. To me the SYE, shocks, etc are a given. I am also not an expert by any stretch (I am learning as I go) but I have installed 2 lifts on it so far and I have been doing lots of reseach as far as what is "required". I am looking more for ideas about what direction to go, like should I keep the rear 3.5" leafs and get the extra lift with shackles or should I replace the leafs. Should I use drop brackets for the control arms, that kind of stuff. It is driven on the street regularly but not a DD.

You're going to have to measure...

If you don't want to do that I'd just bolt some 37" shocks on and roll with it.

From the center of your hub to the fender flare. If your fenders are trimmed you can measure from axle to frame rail.

Measure from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame rail. It's universal and takes all the variables out of it.

Looking to keep costs down as much as possible (while still doing it right), looking for suggestions to go from my 3.5" to somewhere between 4.5"-6". I am probably going to stick with short arm.

Should I go to longer coil springs in front and shackles in the rear? I will swap the upper and lower control arms to adjustable.

Right now I have:
RE 3.5" coils and leafs
RE disconnects
Currie track bar
Pro Comp lower control arms
I would really consider long arms if you do adjustables you are already close in price too long arms

Default Shocks for a 2" BB

My existing shocks seem to be ok for now but, they are also quite old so, I'm looking at replacing them soon. I need some input on what would work good with a 2" BB and not be overly expensive.

I have brand new still in the box Bilstein 5100's for a 2"-3" lift. I'll sell them for $325 shipped.
