Now id like to know if I would need a Slip Yoke Eliminator and CV driveshaft with these.
And also which is better in your opinion. I dont plan on crazy rocj crawling but ill be doing a wide variety of wheeling. Id like to run 33s, would prolly prefer 35s but i dont want to be spending too much.

And Id prefer to not have to deal with the SYE and the CV.
Get RE over RC. Or Zone if you're on a tighter budget. At 4.5" you will likely need an SYE, and it's recommended. Long arms would be better offroad and more comfortable, but you can manage a 4.5" short arm lift.

It works. It's far from ideal, less comfortable, and it limits your offroad capabilities...but it works.

The xfer case drop in this kit consists of 4 bolts and 4 spacers. About $5 worth of parts from the hardware store. I refused to use it. Dropping the xfer case makes NO sense to me.

On sure you know, but for clarity: TC drop lowers the TC to correct for the change in the driveshafts' angles. It's a cheap bandaid fix for when an SYE should be used. The problem is a TC drop just moves the problem from the driveshafts to the motor mounts. It also takes away ground clearance that you just gained from lifting.

Im still somewhat confused. So would it fix the problem to just put the SYE on? Or is the CV shaft required too?

You need to install a Slip Yoke Eliminator so you can use a CV style driveshaft instead of a slip-yoke style.

Can you even get a CV without and SYE, or the other way? I guess you could since they're different things, but all the ones I've seen for sell are always together.

You can get them individually if one piece breaks, but you need both to do the swap.

Would there be any point in doing this swap if you don't have a lift at all? (In other words, is the CV the superior tech' period, all other things being equal?) - Just curious.
