Well ...I dunno if I want "it" exactly ...but I am casting about for minor-ish upgrades that add to the durability and safety.
Like ...I got to thinking yesterday about the XJ's stupid (IMO) donut spare. And that when I got those Canyons on C/L, there were five of 'em. And this other guy on C/L has been trying to sell a new tire just like the new ones I put on the Canyons a few weeks ago. For, like $45. And that after a quick search, it seems it's a simple mod to change to a 235/75R15 full-size-inside spare.
...that kind of thing. Inexpensive. Easy. Effective: no-brainer.
So I guess adding a coke bottle full of transfer case fluid into my recovery box (groan: I do have a semi-permanent "recovery gear" bag in the Wrangler, but hadn't thought that much about it on the Cherokee) is a go.
...but I just know I'm in danger of turning the Cherokee from a cost-effective snow-country vehicle to another dang hobby.

I have the D35 now and if i get a 4.5" RE lift will i need a better axle? Or could I get the lift then throw on a better axle later on without issues?

2" shackles
Will it hurt anything for me to turn my shackles around? Let me explain: When installing my BB, I installed the new shackles with the solid side facing the rear because the OE shackles were installed that way.
Now that my new springs have started to settle a little however, I've noticed that the solid side is only about 2mm from hitting one of the bumper bracket bolts and and they are still almost vertical. I'm wondering what harm there would be if I turn them around so that the solid side faces forward.
P.S. I know somebody will suggest shackle relocation brackets but, those just aren't in my budget at the moment.

I'm thinking of dropping my Jeep down to 3 inches from 4.5 could I just pull a leaf out for the rear, and I'll probably get new coils for the front, everything else should be fine..

Duratracs are better than both, but they are a little more money. I would take the grabbers over the authority's if those are the only two choices.
