Here's a question: will 15" rims fit on a Ford 8.8? I picked one up a month ago that's got an Aussie locker, Solid diff cover, and regeared to 4.88 for $300. Just crossed my mind this morning wondering if 15's would fit. If not, oh well. Just gives me an excuse to buy new rims lol.

I trimmed mine all the way to the edge of the wheel well. The front edge was kinda hard to get folded over nicely cause of the different angles in the body lines but patience and hammer skills will get you there.

Not very far. I think it was 3/4" or so. Unless you cut open the pinch seam and weld the metal back together.

Yeah that's what I thought... I wish it was more lol but I'm not going to spend the time to weld that back up. Hmm guess I'll do that Saturday night, what bedliner to seal the edges where the paint comes off?

I just sanded and sprayed color match Duplicolor on the corners. Bedliner would probably work better, but I don't know which to use. People seem to have their own preferences.

Hey there everyone, how goes it?

So I just got my hands on a 1989 Cherokee with a 4.0L.

I was hoping to get some thoughts about lifts and tires for this beast. My initial intentions are tricking it out for the snow, seeing as it's boarding season, and it's my soon to be main ride there and back. It would be awesome to have it set well for 4x4ing wherever and whenever, all in one set up if possible. I want some meat on the ground, a friend of mine was mentioning throwing some H1 hummer tires on there. My main concern would then be, how would those hold up in the snow?

I'm new to all of this, so any information is very much appreciated.

Thank you all very much in advance for your patience, efforts, and concern.

There are a million ways to build a cherokee, spend some time on google images and see what tires, lift height, bumpers and accessories look good to you, then base your decisions off that, h1 tires are 37s. Definantly not the bed choice for a dd. you would be looking at a lot of lift, new steering, new axles, and a lot of other expensive upgrades.
