I am a college student, I want a 2inch lift kit, I have one in mind. Its spacers for the front, and rear add a leafs for the back with shocks for a stock-like ride, Nothing cool or special just something I can afford. My Jeep is a stock 2000 XJ with a*Chrysler*8.25*rear end, What the biggest tire I can fit onto it with a 2 inch lift. I want to use 245 75 16s, any thoughts?

Thanks Jeepsurfer1, I figured 245 75 16s would fit cause their a inch less wider than 31 10.50s. Im real excited to buy this kit now lol. I Appreciate it.

Depends on the tire. 40's could fit on the stock rims as long as it's for a 15" rim and not too wide. What tire size are you looking at? For example 31x10.5x15.

Happy new years yesh? Haha ill decode that, stock rims can fit any tire as long as the hole diameter is the same as the rim. Also the width of the tire should be less than 12.5 or bad things can happen.

Stock rims will hold up fine to a 12.5 tire, however a 15x8 will be more ideal for tire wear. Now with being said.. without wheel spacers you'll definitely rub your LCA's without clearanced LCA's when making sharp turns, and you might even rub on your rear leaf springs..

Here is an odd question. Would 3 inch spacers affect stock coils to the point of causing death wobble? Im still on stock shocks... Already ran through all the typical DW issues.
