Hi hey got my first lift install going on and have Rc adjustable uca,lca and the drop kit for the arms , and adjustable track bar with drop mount 6 inch coils and eldebrock xtreme IAS shocks all around with the RC inner tie rod .in the rear i have 3 inch leaf pac and RC shackels which give me 5 inchs of lift in the rear , stanless brake lines for the lift . would like to run 35 inch tires and was wondering if i could get some input on if i was missing any thing. Oh yeah SYE on the way for the jeep 1996 XJ 2 dr 5 speed . had a 94 4 dr XJ went trail riding once and broke it good . So now i would like to get this one up and running and hope to make it out to the trails a few more times than once...any feed back would be great

Hello all. I just found this forum a few days ago and now I have a semi-urgent question. Sorry for just jumping in here but I need to make a quick decision on new tires.
I have a 2001 Cherokee (last few months of production), 4.0L, auto, 4WD, limited slip, Up-Country suspension, factory towing package, 105K miles, owned since new.
I need new tires. I did a few searches here but did not find the info I need. The Cherokee is my every day driver. Also use it to tow my small travel trailer and a utility trailer. I would like to do some mild off roading.
A mechanic friend in AZ (I am in SE Pennsylvania, he owns a Cherokee as well) suggested three tires:
- Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza
- Michelin LTX M/S2 (it has the LTX M/S on it now, seems to be good tires)
- BF Goodrich Allterain T/A KO
I was thinking the Goodriches. My local mechanic is telling me this would not be a good tire for general use. He is suggesting General Grabber HTS.
What tires do you all recommend for general / mild off-road use? These are 225/70 R16 size.
I am not on a tight budget. I want “the best” (yes I know, a very subjective measure but you get the idea)
Your help is most appreciated.

at some point will be running 4.11 gears frnt and rear but that will happen over the winter save cash for that up grade . Would really like to stay in the 35 inch tire range but if i had to would go to 33s

Hey everyone, I'm looking a to buy a 3.5" lift with full packs and shocks. Can anyone point me in a good direction of a relatively cheap but good quality lift that does well on the road? The jeep will for the most part be my daily driver

I am looking in to getting a lift somewhere between 4.5 - 6.5".
I have an NP242 TC and I have been looking around and I cannot find a SYE/CV for this transfer case. The places I find state its for the 231 only. Any help?

for the road or on the trail? in that size your options are mainly leaning towards mud tires and i loved my interco trxus m/ts in the snow.
you will hear alot of mixed opinions on this. i would go with iron rocks 3.5" lift kit myself
you will seriously want to consider a rear end swap for tires that big on a dana 35. you will also hear mixed opinions on this but in the end, a D35 is a weak axle and i wouldnt really even trust it on 33s. try to find an 8.25 out of a 97 or newer xj or even better, a D44.
there was a site, maybe it was tom woods or im not entirely sure that sold them..i will try to dig it up. but the 242 SYE was more expensive.
