Thinking about making my own re lift for my xj. Will it work if i buy RE 4.5" coil springs, the RE 4.5" leaf springs and RE adjustable superflex lower control arms with the other things like brake lines on u bolts. would this set up work. on a budget but want to get most bang for my buck.

Oh yea good point. Not sure if you were planning on getting the pieces individually to save $ or not. Probably won't work unless you pick them up local. Shipping is a lot for these heavy parts, shipped together will be cheaper.

I saved money piecing mine together, but I don't think he would with a 4.5 inch lift, there's just too man parts to buy.

RE lifts are underrated - a 4.5" lift will really net you about 6" to begin with. Something to keep in mind when ordering. It's easy to add a little height - not so much to take some away.

From all the reading I've read, I think I'm dead set on using RE parts. Bad thing is, I'm veering away from rebuilding my Harley engine so I can mod my Jeep. Lol

RE is probably the best cost:benefit ratio for XJs. If cost is more of a problem, look at Zone. People often ask about Zone vs RC vs Rusty's, and the answer is always Zone for the cheap lifts.
