Treadwright used to be a horrible company, but they changed ownership and changed their name about 4 years ago. All good reviews since then.

Smile SYE for a 4.5" lift???

What is the max distance that you could lift without the slip yoke eliminator, thinking of installing a 4.5" rough country lift on my 2000 XJ, 4.0L but am not sure if I can get away with that much lift and not replacing the sye...
Thx in advance!

Thats something you will have to wait and see sir. Im at 5.5 without a sye. Some cant go over 3" without needing one. Really depends on the xj.

Plus there are a few bandaids you can run until you buy the sye

With a 2000 you'll most likely need something to fix your driveline angles. Sye would be your best bet. Tc drop would work but...they just take away ground clearance

For moderate snow conditions on paved roads, and in 4 High, they're pretty good. Decent enough on icy stuff.

A crap load better winter tire than the Hankook road tred (courtesy of the original owner) I had last winter lol.

Probably the best thing going for them is the $82/ea mounted price you can get 'em for At Wally World.

...oh. If you want to see what they look like on a stock lift, click my photos.

...actually, that's with worn out springs... so negative lift lol.

If you're replacing the tie rod, look into the V8 ZJ tie rod upgrade.
