Ya they have like 32.85" and 34.3" (they are in metric). I wish they would stock some 33s.

they have 33s in 17" wheel size, but that's it

Fact is 15" wheels are a dying breed among modern trucks/cars, so they have less 15" carcasses coming in to re-tread

Thats true, i just figuered they would still have enough demand for them but i totally understand why they've been cut out of their production line.

That's why I'm considering buying some 16" wheels... seen a lot of 16" off road tires on CL. Plus treadwright.

Question when talking about wheels, what is the offset #? I found some 16" wheels with 2.5" backspacing, but the offset is different than most 15" wheels I've seen...

Honest opinions please.

Speculating on future trends is always dangerous. Shouldn't we have flying cars in every garage by now?

I always wonder if offroading will be fun in 500 years. We should have space ships by then so we could just float over the boulders. Or maybe 97" RC AAL kits and 123" wheels will be available.

i wouldn't. 16s are still way more expensive for the same equivalent size tire than 15s are.

15s aren't going anywhere as far as tire manufacturers are concerned - plenty of older vehicles use them, and almost every offroader (except those silly JKs...)

I dont think they'd look bad. Would be easier to say if you posted a picture of your jeep tho.

Offset and backspacing are two ways of measuring the same thing. Backspacing is measure from the back of the rim to the mounting point on the rim. Offset is measured from the center of the rim to the mounting point on the rim. They just like to make **** complicated. Here's a conversion chart.

Default Lift and tire questions

Hey guys my name is Ben I just joined this forum. I have a 2001 4.0 L sport with a standard 5 Speed tran. As I have owned this for a few years now I am looking to take the plunge into installing a lift kit and tires. I am looking at putting a 4-4.5" lift on it however I have a few questions that I could use some help on.

1) Should I run 32" or 33" tires (I am a little hesitant on cutting the fenders)

2) I am pretty much set on getting an OME lift what are your opinions on it

3) Do I need to put on a control arm drop kit

4) If I want overall ability, clearance and travel would it be better to run 32" vs 33" tires

5) Should I not do a lift kit since this is a 2001 60th Anniversary edition 5 Speed standard and the last year they were made

Thank you for any help and information you can provide

Oh... well that's just stupid... lol.

Thanks. I'll just ignore offset from here on out.
