i ran a 31" tire on my 2 inch lift with slight triming of the front inner fender flare...and had a brand new BFG AT tire in the stock place, i used a tow strap though...didn't even bother with the stock piece, but it can be done. now mine is on the roof cause you cant fit a 35 back there...lol

Hey whats up guys, Im new to the site and looked at this thread and havent found the answer to my question yet I dont think. So here it is. I have a 95 xj, Im thinking about getting a 4.5" lift from rusty's and running 32x11.50's. My question is, if I have a transfer case drop kit, should I still get a slip yoke eliminator?? Would it be needed?? thanks for any help

lifting sagging rear.
Hi guys, new here just came over from owning a toyota tacoma. I want to lift my cherokee 3" in the front then in the rear get a 4.5" leaf pack. I searched and could'nt find anything on this please flame away. Will this work and how will it settle. I actually want the rear to sit an 1" or better higher then the front without using shackles, blocks or AAL.
Thanks Guys

Hi, first of all this is my first XJ and the first time I actually have the money, wherewithal, and desire to build a jeep. Now I just recently bought this jeep and it has a 2" short arm kit (don't know for sure if its 2" and don't know who did it nor do i know the make of the lift) but it sits on fairly new 31/10.5/15 BFG M/T KM2s with cut fenders to fit 31s. Since this is my first build I have just been doing the easy stuff (roof rack, bumpers, winch, ect..) but I would like to build the jeep to 33s eventually (maybe soon). My question is what would be the best way to go about this? Im really in no hurry and I want it done right so i am willing to holdoff and do a longarm kit or whatnot. But is there any way to keep my short arms and lift it further? This is my DD and will continue to be.
Thanks, James
Thanks, James

well some Jeeps can get away without a SYE or Hack and tap but its all up to you to see how bad the vibrations are going to be. not all jeeps are going to have the same vibrations. and with the college thing, im a college student also, so that really should be an excuse lol. do what I DIDNT and save up for everything you need then get everything at once and do it right the first time. just my .02

front driveshaft is fine. but you may have rear driveline vibrations due to the slip yolk design. get either a hack and tap SYE or the SYE where you disasemble the Transfer case. and for the new rear driveshaft just use a front DS from a JY cherokee( not sure if the year of the xj matters or not). OR if you are lucky enough you might be able to get away with just a TC drop kit...
