Read reviews on Jeep sites, and don't trust the stealership. They just want your money.

I resent that. I run a dealership, of course we need to make money but so does every other business that actually stays in business. You can get some quality information from a well run dealership.

Well then, from my experience, you're in the minority.

LMAO, the problem is people think a dealership should cost the same as a local mechanic, there's no way that's possible. When the dealership is more expensive they call it a stealership. Most people don't realized what it costs to run a dealership service department. The cost of my 20 car loaner fleet alone would put most local mechanics out of business in a week. Yes a good local mechanic could save you money, but a bad one could cost you a fortune...

That isn't my problem. My problem is standing in the Service department, listening to them on the phone with an old lady with a three year old minivan, replacing all four tires and changing the fluid in her trans, TC, both diffs, oil, and coolant...THEN calling her and saying her bill is $1400 when the van was brought in for an inspection.

And your thinking regular mechanics don't recommend regular scheduled maintenance to their customers?
We're gearheads so we know our vehicles. We know when our oil shot, or when it's time do diffs cuz the water was pretty deep on the last wheeling trip. The average Joe doesn't so without a maintenance schedule they would just drive until the wheels fell off.

Recommend? They gutted her without asking, and they wouldn't let her take the van til she paid the bill. I'm not against maintenance; I'm against the way most dealerships treat their customers.

Oh, well that is a different situation all together, I agree that was a scum bag move. Our work has to be authorized first.

Oh for sure. But stupid **** goes on everywhere, dealerships are no exception. On Friday I spend 30 minutes calming down a salesman because he tried to go home at 5:00 and found his car full of packing peanuts. You know how hard it was to keep a straight face while I tried to be the concerned boss? LMFAO

OT: another stealership case, My mother (73) last week took her 3 year old car to get serviced at the dealership she bought it from, they charged her $589 for oil, plugs, leads, filters !!!!!!!!!! But that is not the worst! They told her she needed new front brake rotors and pads for $1350 ( car has done 55,000 kilometres !! 34,000 miles ) I checked and thought there was no problem but to be safe I took her car to a brake specialist. They were amazed, they agreed with my inspection and said the brakes were at 50 - 60% and for $1350 they could do a massive upgrade to front and rear brakes !
My mother is taking this further, as the dealer told her it would be very dangerous to drive the car, even to get another quote and that "SHE WILL KILL SOMEONE" if she tried.

Mods, sorry for posting this in wrong section. Please move if needed thanks

I just lifted mine up to 6 inches and was wondering what it would take to clear 35's with good articulation. Or should I just go 33's?

Trim your fenders, bumpstop, make sure your axles and steering are strong enough.
