Well i think im going to do a 3" lift. Adjustable LCA's, IRO double shear track, quick discos, and 33" km2s. Now my question is, whats a good brand to get good offroad ability with new leaf packs for 3"? Thats not too spendy lol. No RE please because theyre over 3" and im trying to avoid an sye right now, in the future i plan on maybe 1" shackle and spacers and going to 35s after ive upgraded everything else. Any opinions on this idea?

I'm thinking no one ever notices because theres never much need for a e-brake unless you've got a manual transmission. And possibly that my damn e-brake cable is unusually short for some reason.

Capitalization, periods and a general effort for proper grammar might have helped me understand.

Jeepers: I am getting a two inch lift on my 2001 and i talked about it with you guys last week. The guys lifting it for me say that the rubicon 2 inch lift kit has no corresponding monotube shocks that come with it, so i will have to stick with the ones that come with it, that are not supposed to be that great. does anybody know of any shocks that are better than the twin tubes that come in the rubicon kit that are compatible with the two inch lift????
The stock JK Rubicon shocks are monotubes, need only minor corrective "surgery" to work on an XJ, and can generally be found on Craigslist new-to-almost-new for a song. They're the perfect size for a two inch lift. (I paid $50 for a set of four with 10K on 'em; I've read others paid less for newer... luck of the draw. )
...I haven't read it anywhere, but my suspicion is they're probably built by Monroe.
...so you might want to put them on your radar.

I recently used the HD ones and they are STIFF.
Probably will not ever have to replace them again.
But they do make them in different stiffness ratings.
Add to that the 1.5" teraflex shackle and its a good setup

Look into 2" Old Man Emu leafs. I think I paid around $100-120 each.

The reason i don't want RE is that they run substantially larger than 3", and then I'll want larger tires and will have to do an sye immediately.

Was poking fun at the flex comment, they'll both do well offroad. Flex is overrated, downtravel is where its at.
