Thing looks like a v8 ZJ front shaft with it being that length.. that'll probably be far too long for your setup if you've got the AW4. ZJ V8 front shafts are good for cherokees with the ax15 at 4.5" of lift or so. I doubt it'll work, the ax15 is about 10 inches shorter than the AW4 IIRC.

I need some tire suggestions. I can pick up a set of Mickey Thompson MTZ tires 33x12.5R15 for $700 but I want to see if y'all have any suggestions that are as good but not as expensive. I need a tire that performs on the road and in the dirt/snow.

This will come down very much to preference. I loved my Duratracs in snow, but the sidewalls are weak which makes them questionable on rocks. A certain someone here will tell you to buy Baja Claws no matter what. I suggest narrowing down your search to a few possibilities by reading reviews. Then compare price and features.

I tend not to believe too many reviews since some companies have employees who hype up their products by posting fake reviews and whatnot. I'd rather get real world views from folks who use them and beat on them you know?

I figure if I can get a few suggestions on tires that people on here have used and tested personally then I could narrow my search down and go from there. :sly:

Ok, people can't say I'm not a nice guy... I just got off my lazy butt, put shoes and clothes on to walk outside in the dreaded 47 degree wind to measure a spare shaft.

I did this to bring you good news.

My brand spankin new, still wrapped in plastic wrap, Tom Woods spare drive shaft measures out to be ~32-33" collapsed.

So... you have the correct shaft.

It does look too long tho. Tape measure tells a different story.

What do you mean too long? I measured 32-33, maybe it's because the tape measure is shifted a but in the picture

I meant that your picture makes the shaft appear to be longer than it is.

You have the correct shaft. It will work just fine.

You're over thinking this.

Up to 3" you can get away with stock, after that you will need longer links.
