Anybody know how much more articulation clearance TJ fender flares would give you on a Cherokee? I'm thinking of doing something like this; but only if it will increase my upward clearance.

Looks like his fenders are trimmed about as much as mine, then the flares were stuck on. That's one sweet looking XJ though.

I want to clear 33" tires on my 3" lift but still want flares and am not ready to dole out a lot of $$$ for some aftermarket XJ flares.

Yeah, I looked at those but in reading the installation manual it doesn't appear that they increase upward clearance which is what I'm looking to get. I really like the look and price of those flares though.

May I ask why you're so concerned with vertical clearance? I think I'd rather have more droop than tuck. Too much tuck and you'll bottom out your shocks. Only need a little bit of tuck.

3'' lift with 35s
just gonna jump in on this thread and ask anyone with a 3''-3.5'' lift with 35s to post pics of their xj and explain what they had to do to make it work. i know its rare but its been done and i want to do it and do it right.
