Then that would be 1 less opportunity for people on forums to be smartasses saying, "Google is your friend". I know I'd personally be upset of less opportunity to be a smartass.

When I say it, I mean it. That's how I learned half the stuff I know, and sometimes it's a lot faster and easier than asking here.

All in all I can see why people get pissed at people who just come here to ask questions and then leave and not contribute to the forum at all. You got to do some leg work yourself and if you still got nothing then ask. Sorry to continue the off topic downfall
Edit: My lift kit is in 4 seperate boxes all spread around West Virginia and Western Pa but scheduled to be here tomorrow.

Your right its quicker to Google search. But sometimes ill use google for a little insight and by the time I read 15 different ways to do something and people fighting over who's more right or wrong I end up being more confused than I started lol.

Sometimes Google is too much a surfeit of riches, sigh.
...especially when all I actually wanted was to know which way the bloody bolt was supposed to be inserted.

For the record, when I said "Google is your friend" earlier, it was to a guy asking about acronyms. That's pretty cut and dry lol

Half the time I don't understand a bloody thing I'm reading anyways LOL; and then I have to pick and choose amongst people who are as the sun and stars to my skill level and are arguing the theoretical finer points ...with math ("they" said there wouldn't be any math dammit) ...as if everyone should know how many angels can dance on the pin of a shock absorber (to misquote an old Phil' 101 perfess'r).

I had relocated my shackle mounts down below the shackle box which is becoming popular. I used it with a Klune V David and a 3.8 Atlas II transfercase. The rearend would fully extend when climbing ledges and such in compound low. It was like the rearend was driving under the Jeep. As soon as I made it up the ledge It was fine. Climbing ledges at an angle almost caused me to roll a couple of times.
I also bent one rear spring on a rock in reverse and landed on the springs many times.
Stopping required shifting to neutral when flexed or rolling was a issue.
It wasn't as noticable when I was not in compound low unless I was on it hard to climb a ledge
I raising the shackle back up to the stock mounting point and used with B-van springs with custom 1.5" lift boomerang shackles which netted about a 45 degree static angle. This also lowered the rearend about 3" compared to when the shackles were relocated. This eliminated about 75% of the lift issues that were happening in compound low. Originally Posted by T**

...and yeah, as you suspect, that stinging riposte indeed was on the typically evanescently jocular "jolly roger" forum.
Sorry for diverging so far off-topic, but my suspicion is you regulars would enjoy that as much as I did.

Ok, I know the RE 3.5" comes with a rear trck bar, however it looks like the 4.5" comes with front and rear and a full set of adjustable control arms. Hmm decisions.
Do you guys think it would be bad to buy used control arms? They are RE adj upper and lowers, and they were used on 2 wheeling trips over 6 months. Guy wants 250 (includes shipping from CA to NJ).

Used is fine as long as they aren't bent. Make sure the bushings are good before you install them. If not, just replace the bushings.
One bushing has a small sliver of rubber that got sliced off by something; would that be a huge deal? The guy said they're fine. Also, they aren't bent at all.
