Muffler delete(straightpipe),2.5 piping,2.5 spincat from performance-curve.com,3.5 silver vein angle cut tip.I get compliments all the time,it really isn't that loud and doesn't drove on the interstate.
As far as hitch/shackle issues go,i think i had it pretty bad.I had about an inch between my shackle and hitch and couldn't handle the terrible noise the tailpipe was making.
We went this route. We rerouted it to exit just under the ps quarter panel, like alot of the newer rams.It worked out great and this may be a solution/option for others.

This exactly where i am going to run my exhaust!! Only differnence is I did the cut/fold on my lower quarters, so mine will be about 6-8'' higher. I know that running 3'' wont be a clearance issue, but is 3'' piping too big for a 4.0? I've heard too big of piping can really hurt performance

Thats what I was afraid of. I've been told 2.5'' to 3'' is good for a healthy V8, which seems right. But then again why do all these import 4 cylinder cars "upgrade" to 3''-4''? So, now that I'm completely clueless of what the optimum size is for a 4.0 inline 6 lol any more theorys?

As you get bigger you lose a little torque. My 289 v8 is running dual 2.5 with an x pipe but I'm more worried about horsepower then torque.... I think 2.5 header back is perfect for the 4.0

If it looks like an APN...
I have heard good things about the APN header. I found it on amazon for $160 here
This is a decent price from what I've seen however I was looking on ebay and I found this header
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-99-Jeep...ht_2442wt_1163
They both look identical and have similar descriptions, the ebay listing just doesn't say APN. What do yall think?

Thats what I thought but I wasn't sure. Sounds like I am going to run 2-1/2'' the whole way out

Does anyone on here have a cherry bomb extreme muffler? I'm wondering if the idle sound is diesely at all. That's the only thing I'm not loving about my straight pipe.
