I am quite chill, just trying to save you the headace of getting *****ed at. To answer your question, it would be fine if you had a muffler and tailpipe. And please don't call me bro.

I have a quick exhaust question here. I recently replaced my stock muffler with a Thrush Welded muffler, which is behind a resonator (I don't know the length off-hand). The cat was removed years ago and was replaced with this resonator. (I am aware of forum rules and local laws, I did not remove it. <<This information is relevant to my issue, which is the only reason it was included ) The problem I am having is that there is a loud drone from 13-1500 RPMs, which are my ideal city-cruising RPMs. The exhaust is good in areas other than these RPMs. It is almost straight-pipe loud cab-wise at these RPMs. My questions are:
1. Will removing this resonator and replacing it with pipe reduce the cab drone? (counter-intuitively, I know.) I would be willing to deal with a louder exhaust overall to reduce this drone, I'm still young.
2. Will getting a resonator of different proportions be able to reduce drone, or even shift the drone to an RPM range that is not conducive to normal driving? ie, 3000RPMs +/-, or at least not between 12-2200.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Its your jeep, do with it what you want. That being said, this forum doesn't condone or entertain the thought of taking off a catalytic converter. Please drop the subject or take it elsewhere.

bad cat or good cat
so to change the subject a tad. how the hell do you know if the kitty is workin or not, plugged up or not?? ya, dont go in the gutter guys.. LOL seriously though, bought a jeep from a city feller who drove it around town mostly.... a long road trip now and then. when I step on it on the freeway it feels like its tryin real hard to push out the exhaust. otherwise it seems fine. thinkin at higher rpm and whatnot it wont flow right. so lookin for opinions. thanks.
