Lots of smoke after a body swap, changed out everything (motor, tranny, axles, driveline stuff you name it) went with an apn header to replace the old, rusty, crappy exhaust manifold. Large plumes of white smoke, throttle related (more throttle more smoke) could it be the oil on the apn still burning off? It didn't smell like oil or antifreeze burning, and we let it run for about 5 minutes. Eh?

So I took a look under the jeep today and Im wondering the short pipe after the cat that goes into the muffler, its clamped in by the muffler, do you guys just pound the muffler to get it off or do you cut the pipe before the muffler ? Seems like with all the rust its gonna be a pita to get it off.
Also should I use any rtv exhaust sealant when connecting the pipes together or should I just clamp them and thats it ?
My exhaust should be coming in on Wed figured I should start working on taking the old one out.

Ok cool, one more question what kind of hangers do I need to get for the new exhaust pipe ? Cuz the stock hanger is bolted but then the other piece of metal that slides into the rubber part is welded to the exhaust pipe.
If you could link to one that be good just so I see what kind I need, Iv looked on autozone but there's a bunch of them and I dont even see how they would work or how im suppose to use em. Im sure once I get all this stuff its gona be easier to do it.
