Ah, I see. I guess since they don't charge an arm and a leg that's not horrible.

On the website it says something about you may need to make slight mods to make it fit perfect. All we did was put a bend on a 6" piece of 2.5" tube and it was fine

Mine fit fine I had to made a small bend on a piece of pipe between the muffler and pipe. But that is cause I didn't go with a center/offset muffler

hmm well it is what it is I cut a section out and used a connector and clamped it down it tucks in better now if I knew how to weld and had the tools it would of came out even better. The pipe is good doesnt rattle but on bigger bumps I hear it hit the frame, I was thinking of wrapping the elbow in exhaust tape what do you guys think ?

Im not sure if someone has already asked this but 200 pages is a lot to read through. Im running open headers right now because I just found out my cat was clogged and the rest was rusted out anyways. What would be a nice system from manifolds back to get a real low, deep, crisp, mud bogging sound without it being too loud and without spending an arm and a leg? Its an 88 so I don't need emissions so I don't think I need a cat unless it makes a difference. some1 please let me know.

Have someone bend you up a 2.5 inch down pipe since no one I believe makes one (maybe walker) magnaflow high flow cat (get one, illegal without regardless if you need emissions) and a flow master 44 with 2.5 pipe from Performancecurve.com

Are there and bolt on solutions for a down pipe? I don't know anyone with a pipe bender. Would a shop do it? About how much would all of this cost and where's the best place to buy it from? Anyone else have any ideas, or is this pretty much a no brainer and everyone agrees? I just don't want to invest a lot of money and not have what im lookin for. (I DONT WANT IT TO SOUND LIKE A LIL RICE BURNER) I want people to know its a truck when they hear it coming. thanx

You won't get a justified answer. They're both good but everyone says one or the other. Some say the 44 is louder, some say the 40 is

cat= amazon
Downpipe= usually get a new one with a header, not that big of a deal.

If you want a cleaner deep tone go with magnaflow a chamberd muffler in my opinion is only for v8's put it on anything less than a v8 and it sounds like crap

You and your over sized glasspacks :troll: But seriously, my dad has a 26" cherry bomb on his jeep and it sounds pretty much the same as your video through laptop speakers. It has a very low, smooth idle and still has the high end rasp, high being 4000rpm+.

Who was looking for cats? Right here, high flow for under $40: http://performance-curve.com/thunderbolt-spincat.aspx
Really high flow for under $70: http://performance-curve.com/thunder...-metallic.aspx

I have the second one and love it. I ran around for almost a year with this on a straight pipe and it did nothing to impair the sound. I miss it lol
