What's the point of haveing the tip turned down? Rather then straight? What's that do?

Don't want the exhaust hitting your gas tank.

So recently got my exhaust tip caught on some sand rolling back off a slope, and it ended up wrapping around the rear axle. Needless to say I need new exhaust after the cat.
Something that sounds nice but isn't too expensive would be nice. Or any d.i.y suggestions would be sweet.

Default Need a good header!!

So I have an 88 Jeep Cherokee that I'm lifting and stoking out. I got a high output head for it, so I'll need a 91-99 header now. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good 91-99 header (new) or a link to one? I'm willing to spend money on it. I've been looking all over online but I just want to get some opinions before buying one.

I picked up 1.5mpg when I installed my 2.5" exhaust ( custom 2.5" mandrel bent downpipe flange - hi flow cat to 2.5" magnaflow magnapack - 2.5" mandrel bent tailpipe ).

I am hoping to pick up a little more milage when I install my ceramic coated APN header in the next couple of weeks when I get some down time

I just got the Rusty's one and a new catco cat. I know opinon's are mixed on Rusty's but I had no problems and the price and fit were good enough that I could install it without even lifting the the thing off the ground. I was going to go with the Flowmaster but it was 20 or so extra and I heard the drone a bit. The cherry bomb drones just a touch at very low RPM but no problems while cruising.
