No it has 4,900 miles on damn close to knew and it was replaced due to the truck being rolled... And there is no reason to get smart... I chose a different route then most people... So what.... I'm wrong? No ... I just have a different approach...

We are telling you that it is against federal law to install a used cat. In the eyes of the EPA (I'm sure they are the ones who wanted that law) you are wrong. I really don't care what you do, go ahead with whatever. but doesn't it make more sense to have NEW one for only $36? I'd rather have new THAN used...

I bet you could pay for the new cat by selling the old one. It would just be much easier that way. If you want to install an old cat, go ahead, I doubt anyone will ever care but they are right, it is illegal.

Do you want stock sound or do you want to go deaf early and make all your neighbors hate you?

Since it's an 88 I'd get a new one. $40 on performance curve and don't forget about the 5% discount code 'cherokeeforum'

I've always assumed part of the term straight pipe included no cat. Maybe not. Just weld it back if it's not broken because that's the cheapest option.

Same. If your gonna have it straight piped no need to pay to get pipe and have it hung up. Just cut it off after the crossmember. That's straight pipe lol
