I recently purchased a 2.5" muffler (FlowMaster Super 44) and cat(ThunderBolt Spuncat). When the time comes for the install, I was planning on having 2.5" pipe from the collector back to the exhaust. And then 3" pipe finishing off after the muffler. Good idea? Or, just stick w/ 2.5 all the way through? Thoughts?

You won't need to goto 3". Also if you do you'll run into some clearance issues Between the tank and shackles.

I have the APN manifold already installed. I like it! Can't say I am impressed with it really; replaced an already cracked stock manifold from initial purchase of Jeep. The 3" tailpipe was just something I had been throwing around, for the sake of a slightly larger tip.

I had my APN installed on my Late Build 99 Yesterday,
No grinding was needed, My buddy who installed it said he put it on, Then started the XJ The RPM's shot to the rev limiter and it had a vaccum leak with some quick diag by pouring water on the manifold while running he found the vacuum at the #1 & 2 runners . So he loosened the manifold, Wiggled it around a bit then started to tighten it down again. As he was tightening it down he heard a snap which was the manifold slipping in position over the dowel pin after inspecting with a mirror to make sure the manifold did not break . He started the Jeep and it was all good.
