It lasts on the tubes but burnt off on the collectors, just saying

anyone know if anyone makes a dual outlet header with 2 1/4 inch collectors for a true dual? I have the pacesetters now but they are only 2 inches each.

That's the best you're gonna get cause there's really no room or need for true duals. You'll probably lose some low end with that big of pipe anyways

Doubtful. I plan to hopefully run 'duals' (dual outlet muffler) and expect no loss in low end. Why? Because my header primaries and collector are staying the same. The downpipe will still be 2.25-2.5". Combine that with the fact that the 4.0 has cam overlap to assist in scavenging, opening up the back end of the system won't harm performance (unless you do some ignorant 5-6" fart exhaust, then yes you'll have exhaust turbulence). I had a good discussion about this with some fellow co-workers who build dragsters and big number street warriors. I learned a good bit.

thanks i'll have to get mine cut and rewelded then. Im in the process of making an aspirated 4.9 stroker with a higher powerband so i need two 2 1/2s or one 3 inch to get the full power out of it. Guys at the stroker site didnt know.

How do people raise their exhaust? Currently The muffler and cat are the lowest thing under it and I already ripped them off once so how do I get it above the Frame rails

Its high before the cross member, cut it and make your own exhaust after that.

Default Muffler-exhaust system recommendations

I'm starting my first build (XJ Virgin). I have an '01 XJ stock. Primary use will be DD and Southeast US mud slinging. I'm looking for recommendations for brands and models of mufflers, exhaust systems, exhaust manifolds as well as do's and don'ts. What works, what do I need to avoid? Most of my off-road experience was in Iraq and Afghanistan and I got the bug there. For some reason the owners of the vehicles I used frowned upon personal expression in tweaking my rides. Who knew?

Go about five pages back and read back up to here. You'll probably get a better idea than if we just list a few

I watched these last night. Very nice. I assume, the suspension lift should come before the exhaust upgrades to ensure proper fit of pipe?

it'll fit he same either way unless you have gone to a coilover rear setup which would require custom
