Edit: only see kits for 99-04 grand cherokee.

Also found a 2.25" mandrel bent one for $50 might just do that. With either a flowmaster 44 or 50 this is just a DD so it doesn't need anything special.

If any 1 has a new TURBO Muff or MAGNAFLOW or any other performance muffler that is not the standard straight threw glass pack type like a over the counter Cherry Bomb. I will trade my new FLOWMASTER for it. The FLOWMASTER is just to loud for City driving ,once on the highway its fine , but not in the city. I do most of my driving in the City.

Yea, I'd choose the performance curve one for my xj everyday all day. Just wanted a little rumble and better flow for the zj.

I have a 96XJ. Going to be redoing my whole exhaust from the motor out. It has a leak in the header PO cut the CAT off and muffler is about rusted through. Whats a good way to go. Already know the APN header is the way to on that part but on back from that I have no idea. I'm not looking for performance really but if I can get another couple HP and a MPG or 2 thats great. This is a DD/hunting vehicle so I don't want loud. Also, will need to get both the O2 sensors. Assuming MOPAR is the way to go on those. Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. If possible I would like to keep it under $400. $300 would be great. May be a pipe dream though.

I've got an 18" magnaflow and am planning to run that with 2.25" pipe. Hopefully that wont sound too annoying. Anytime I've gone to a bigger pipe it sounds bad. Since this engine is stock no need to upsize. That's my theory anyway.

With the smaller pipe it'll have a higher pitch. I'm running a APN header , 2.5" mandrel bent downpipe 2.5" hiflow cat , 2.5" 4"round magnaflow With a 18" chamber. And 2.5" mandrel bent tailpipe on my Xj. It sounds good nice and deep I've been told it sounds awesome by everyone who has heard it. It's the first video in he exhaust setup thread

For anyone wondering if the thunderbolt cats pass emissions I have an apn header, the high flow cat, Jones single chamber, and a mandrel bent tail pipe all 2.5" and I just passed with flying colors.

That's a hard question different shops have different rates I know shop around here that would put on for 400 dollars and then also know a guy down the road that will put it on for 50, call and get estimates until you find someone that can do it for reasonable price

Try exhaust pros if there are any around you. I got my whole exhaust done for $140. I doubt you'd be charged more than $75.
