Wow triple post... Sorry everyone
But no straight pipes for me I still need to pass emissions and that'd be way too loud

I think I'm gonna go with a new downpipe, 2.5" pipe into a high flow cat then a flow master super 10 muffler and 2.5" pipe out the back

Default Exhaust troubleshooting.

Ok so here is what I've got. My wiring plug for the downstream O2 will not reach the o2 sensor. Pretty sure its an aftermarket Cat not sure about the muffler there are some numbers on it but nothing really that identifies the muffler as a specific name brand or anything. Obviously this is tripping the CEL. Engine runs great though. I haven't driven a ton of 4.0s. Maybe a dozen but this one by far ran the best of any I drove. Big reason why I bought it.

How should I proceed here?

Should I just extend the wiring on the plug to reach the sensor, plug it in and see what it does? Troubleshoot further from there if the CEL still trips. Would doing this cause me further problems down the road? This is my first instinct to do and if it works would save me some money I just want to make sure i'm not going to screw something else up. The sensor is around 23" behind the crossmember. Is that normal or is there something definitely off there?

Here are some pics. You can see where the plug comes down just behind the slip yoke and how far back the sensor is.

Does that connector attach to the back of the sensor? The ones I get normally have wires and a connector coming off. You should be fine extending the wires. As for your CEL, that should clear things up if its the only thing wrong with your jeep.

I didn't even think about that. Just looked at some pictures and sure enough you are right. The sensor is supposed to have a plug that comes of it. Guess mine got ripped out somehow. This makes so much more sense now. Well now I guess I'll see if I can get that sensor out without screwing stuff up and replace it. Thank you.

Hey guys, got my Performance Curve system with Flowmaster Super 40 earlier this week. Anyone have any clearance issues with the muffler and the rear driveshaft? Should I just shorten the connector piece between the cat and the muffler and call it good, or should I flip the muffler upside down so the outlet is on the drivers side? Any suggestions?

Looks like you want a muffler that is offset in, center out

Are you lifted? I'm worried that once I get my lift on it will definitely rub...I think I'm going to shorten the connector piece as much as I can to gain some clearance.

that would be nice, but I didn't get that option from Performance Curve when I ordered so it's too late now
