You'll just have to cut and flange it yourself -or- do what Hen suggested and take it to an exhaust shop.... I'd recommend that too unless you really really wanna do it yourself. That way they can mandrel bend you some tubing and get all the routing and everything perfect all the while welding up your muffler, cat, and whatever else you need.
Honestly, unless you're springing for a more expensive Borla, Banks, or Pacesetter header, the quality of the others are all about the same. Even the Banks Torque Tubes header design ended up cracking which prompted them to change the design to the Revolver.
Quieter than OE? Not likely. If you're "hearing" your factory exhaust, you probably have a leak somewhere and/or broken baffles in the muffler. Replacing it with the Walker exhaust components found on RockAuto will get you back to about where the OE sound levels are supposed to be. Walker is very good quality and has a good reputation for exhaust components.

just looking to replace the precat on a stock head? if you were looking to replace the head, I know a number of them either narrow to 1 pipe or have a connector to go from 2 to 1. from there i'd consider a single precat, flex pipe and then whatever size tubing you need to the main cat/whatever you're doing down the line

Another Cracked out, Cracked Header Solution
So 7 years ago, about 50,000 miles ago, I installed a brand new Gibson 409 stainless header on my 91 XJ due to a cracked exhaust manifold. I also replaced my engine and transmission mounts at that time. However, I did not go to a high-end mount and instead replaced them with OEM mounts.
Fast forward to this past November, a small exhaust leak started to show in my exhaust manifold (50,000 miles after the replacement). Now, at 57,000 miles after the replacement the exhaust leak is getting worse. I took some pictures, as best as I could, to show the issue I'm having.
What i'm asking of the thread is, what can I do to fix this now and hope to resolve this in the future? My thoughts on a solution are as follows:
- Repair or Replace my header with another stainless on that has no damage (Leaning toward Gibson again)
- Replace my engine mounts with the Brown Dog Kit
- Installing a flex-pipe somewhere in the exhaust forward of the cross-member and before the header
What are the thoughts of those of you who have tried something similar or have done more research than I already have?
I'm also interested in UsmclovesXJ's thoughts

I guess what i'm trying to figure out is if the flex-pipe will last or if it's a waste of money since I would be replacing that every 60,000 miles instead.
Edit: I took a better photo with my endoscope of the leak....

Rerouting exhaust
I had a question about shortening my exhaust and whether it would influence the engine. So I had the exhaust fall off on the engine side of the catalytic converter where it was clamped and I was able to get a new clamp and get it put back in place but on the other end of the exhaust on the back end after the muffler it was cut off (or also fell off) by the previous owner so I was thinking I would reroute it to come out behind the passenger door in front of the rear tire. It has a pretty bad rust hole right where i want it to come out so i was going to cut a hole out to stop the rust and bring the exhaust out there. I will be able to keep the catalytic converter but the muffler that is on it is much to big so id have to chop the exhaust behind the cat and get a smaller muffler or have it straight piped from the cat out. I'm just curious as to whether or not this would influence the engine or the way the vehicle ran or if I would need any specific tuning. Sorry for the long post! Any insight will help!
