nice that site has pretty cheap cats, I was lookin at ebay ones. I gotta fix my exhaust soon, dumping under my rig is not good!

whats the cheaper of the headers that would be worth getting for a little increase?

apn is probly the cheapest header there and will give you a nice gain...and yes that place is from a guy on her mudfrog all his exhaust systems are cheapest there. probly the cheapest you will find it new if your going to order there theres a cupon you can use "save5"...also dont dump under your xj if you have holes in your floor you get ehxaust smell (im guilty of that have holes in the muffler never fixed and up graded yet)

Here's a question:

Anyone know if there's a company that makes a 3" tail pipe? Preferably mandrel bent?

The madrel bending of the pipes done by aftermarket exhaust companies is good for 2-4 h.p. depending on the severity of the stock bends. Most local exhaust places dont have a mandrel bender so changing the pipes out doesnt do anything if pipe size it not increased.

My opinion, if its more noise and a little more power just add the best flowing stainless muffler to the current system and never do it again. If you increase pipe sizes, then a local shop and only stainless. Dont care about money but want ease and better gains than most local shops can offer with no pipe size increase, and aftermarket exhaust.

NOISE does not mean power, some think it does is why Flowmasters are sold in the numbers they are!!!

Is there a header that will help the renix? All I ever see are ones for the HO.

Also, right now I have no exhaust after the cat.... Im gonna get a "high flow" cat and pipe it from they're. What does that really do to the power?
This is the link mudfrog gave me for a ca. Emissions cat. http://performance-curve.com/2califo...41004-1-1.aspx also pacesetter makes a renix header. Heard it doesn't fit great though.

Anyone ever run a purple hornie? I love the side exit muffler they have that goes on right at the down pipe. Anyone? Or, know of any other muffler that side exits that bolts on directly after the down pipe?
