Hmm I'd just buy a quick turndown from AutoZone ....but no it is ok if u do the muffler has air running out so it makes it harder for anything to rush in...you will be fine

Mine is exactly like this..right after the crossmember is my cat, then my muffler & then it dumps out just before the rear axle!
Love this..
No issue with mud or anything! Many people run like this, no issues!

Yes the reason I stated the turn down was just to add some protection to the inside of the muffler from mud or dirt from the road

MagnaFlow did some dyno testing. There was a 1hp difference between straight pipes and a high flow converter. 1hp isn't even slightly noticeable.

hey guys probably gettin a new motor soon, and need to know if there have been any proven performance exhaust, like with dyno numbers. cause im getting a mid 90's so my intake will be good but i know it deserves a header. but i need to know which one will definitively give me torque

Apn headder go to a shop get a 2.5in down pipe new hiflow cat Magana flow muffler with a 2.5in tailpipe out the back....
Best set up for max torqe and hp also drop in a cold air intake... Www.performance-curve.com that place will be your friend ..but u need to find a place for ur headders
