It really is all about sound here..and drown! Flowmasters will drone. Point proven fact! At some point in the rpm they will drone..you can swear up and down they won't but let me ride in your car and I'll find that point!
Thats the only thing that sucks about chambered mufflers.
And personal prefference, I like the way the 4.0's sound..with a flowmaster they just sound different...more mechiny...I know I butchered that word lol...
All chamber mufflers will make it sound that way though, not just flowmasters. Its almost like you can here the exhaust banging around in the muffler! This is the biggest reason I went to Magnaflows. They don't really alter the sound..just make it deeper & cleaner! And they also won't drone if you get the correct muffler..flowmasters will drone no matter which you get lol!
Now yes you won't feel the 2-3 horsepower gain and such, and ya you may not pick up .2 tenths in the quarter. But the gains of a straight through vs a chamber are always there & will help..Mpg will be better & everything.
I say the same as above go for what sounds good to YOU! Don't think your gonna get a SOTP gain by going with one over the other!
