Default alloy usa front axle u join plates.

would like to know what your guys thoughts are on the alloy usa outter u joint plates. a guy told me that the caps can come off and destroy the front axle's. he said it was sort of a common problem. So is it something to worry about? would be a easy install since I am/have it apart for the spicer u joints,..

A link to the product or pics would help.
I sell AlloyUSA products and you've lost me completely.

Are you referring to the "Almost Alloy" product? (Not made by AlloyUSA)
If so....save you're money. applying enough heat to properly weld them on will ruin your shafts unless you pay a good chunk of change to have them re-heat treated.

You'll hear of some people tack welding each cap to the axle. I have no experience doing so but it does the same job of keeping the cap in place. The weld on plates reduce deflection around the holes of the shafts though.
