aussie lockers!?!
I been searching around for rear lockers for my cherokee which has a chrysler 8.25 rear. I found that aussie had the best deal but my question is how good are they? As in strength, reliability, etc. I use my jeep every day with some weekend off roading and i live in PA so it will be drivin in snow once winter rolls around. So how will The aussie lockers work in all these aspects? Thanks for the help

Ran them front and rear in my old axles and they worked flawlessly. Buddy of mine is still running the front, sold the rear to a guy online so who knows. I broke several shafts in the rear and it didn't hurt the locker one bit. Worked way better than the Lockwrongs I had in my Yota.

I've got an Aussie in my 29 spline 8.25. Been holding up great for approx 2000 miles. I give it hell off-road and It has never given me issues. The only thing I don't like about it is the *clunk-clunk-clunk* noise as it ratchets in parking lots, people stare rofl. Some people say the ratcheting noise gets quieter after time, but I've found mine has gotten louder.

Dan mine is a manual, I dunno if yours is an auto, but turning corners in mine with the clutch in and I can barely hear it ratchet. Now if i'm going around a corner with the clutch engaged, it will usually make one good solid pop, but other than that, I love it. Both tires pull hard off-road, pulling up stumps etc. I can't wait to have the money to buy one for the front.

I have an Aussie in the front and it works great offroad but it can make some noise on the pavement. I highly recommend 85/140 Gear oil and getting a HD diff cover to help quiet it down some. I have heard that automatic lockers and snow don't mix well and can make driving in snow scary, but I live in GA so WTH do I know about snow?
