Automatic or manual?

Guess I'll add my .02...
Having driven both offroad, the answer is obvious.
It depends.
For general trail riding, normal backcountry type stuff, manual is great.
Rockcrawling, however, I prefer an automatic. There's so much technical driving happening, it's just one less thing to worry about...makes for a more pleasureable experience, in my opinion.

Rads recomends considwring the manual switching Controller and mods for tourqe converter lock up.
The rads shifter I dont think does what people think. I think it makes it so transmissiin function
manual 1-2 shift kinda then select 3rd and it will shift when internal transmission parameters are met same with 4th
this does not provide full manual shifting or any addiotional tourqe converter lockup options without other mods both mechanical and eletrical.
However its a great tool to help my jeep go the aw4 route without the Extra computer crap if that time ever comes
as it is I think aw4 can easily use a togle switch to manualy lock converter then use shift lever to shift gears.
saved you guys 180 bucks
