Exclamation Axle question!

My buddy has a 96 XJ. His friend just did a ton of work to his brand new JK. So we are mounting up his beadlock wheels for him. He is donating the old JK axles, front and rear to him. My question is are the axles from the JK compatible with his XJ?

They won't bolt in, with new brackets almost any axle is compatible.
Is the swap worth it? I don't think it is

Depends on if there Rubicon axles, 44 combo.
Then it would be worth it.

Yea trusses will run you some dough up front but will make it bolt in. Plus they are 5" wider

Make sure you truss the front, 30 or 44, because it is known to break at the knuckle. Sleeves couldn't hurt either. You'll also need new wheels since it's a 5x5 bolt pattern.

What are some good axles to put under a 1996 jeep cherokee xj to run 37's? Or could I upgrade my Dana 30/35 and be able to run 37's?

Ford 8.8 rear and Dana 44 from a waggy or certain 70's fords without cast wedges are more desirable.

I wouldn't trust a 30, much less a 35, on 37's.

Even with a 8.8/44 I would run Chromos.

44/9inch. Or 60's. There's lots of options. A dana 35 and 37's is NOT happening.
