Boostwerks Engineering Transfer Case Linkage - Experiences?
I've been researching options for the problematic transfer case linkage on my XJ, and after reading a few DIY threads, I stumbled across this Boostwerks Engineering kit for the 231 case. Does anyone have experience with this kit? Pics? Thoughts?

Yup, I got it. It's a huge improvement over the stock, complicated gate mechanism. I'll never understand why they developed and used something so complicated and sloppy, when they could have made something similar to this from the get-go and saved a couple bucks per XJ that was sold.
T-case shifts so much more solidly now and I never have to wonder if it actually went into 4-low or not. I did have to clearance the rear of the shifter bracket on the top side, but that could also be because I clocked my t-case a few degrees prior to installing. Either way, took me about 30 minutes (and most of that was removing the old junk) and it was the best sub-$50 thing I ever did to any of my Jeeps.

Thanks for the quick reply and good info gpXJ! I going to order one up this afternoon then! Looks like they are currently out of stock, but once I get it, I'll take some photos of the install and add them to this thread.
I asked myself the same question the first time I saw that linkage...

Wow...after all these great comments, I can't wait to get mine!
Thanks for the thread link Outlaw Star, I'll give it a read. Good to hear that Boostwerks is part of this forum, that makes me feel even better.
