Bored Out Throttle Body vs. Throttle Body Spacer
hey guys, i was wondering what would be the difference between getting a true bored out throttle body, and going with just a throttle body spacer like this: http://www.quadratec.com/products/17008_001.htm
is one better then the other? is there any advantage to having both a bored out throttle body and having this spacer installed as well or is that stupid?
thanks guys!

Get a bored out TB. A spacer doesn't do anything although people are going to try and say differently. All they do is add some bling to the engine compartment, if you're into that kind of thing.

TB spacers worked well with carbs something about fuel atomization with increased velocity. But in fuel inj the fuel goes in at the valve and is already stirred up pretty well.

^this or there's a guy who has a thread in the for sale section that sells bored TBs. You buy it for $75, once you do the swap, send him your old one and he'll refund you $25. So it costs you for $50 in the end. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me

I hate when people misinform me, as I was under the impression that it could not be bored more than that. I should always consult you first cruiser. You always seem to know best. www.strokedjeep.com it is!

The renix TB is limited more than the later HO, because of the mounting bolts. For a stock, or even mild build I wouldn't see why you would need any more than 63-64mm. Yes, strokedjeep.com bored TB is the way to go.

I've used 3 TBs from Jeff at strokedjeep.com on my Renix stuff.
