Default Broken bolts..

Well today while driving my bolts broke off in my steering box! Yay.
Luckily there's a good piece on the other side I'm gone try to thread the rest of the way through.
Any one else had this problem??

Can't say that I have.

Looks like new bolts. What grade were they?

What condition was the spacer behind the box in?

I'd guess they were either over tightened or the spacer was cracked and allowed wiggle room to fatigue the bolts.

I'd contact Nates. At the least they should supply you with new bolts and a new spacer.

Either way, I'd make sure they know about it...

They may be totally unaware that they're sending out junk bolts.

Me? I'm an *******, they'd be sending me something.

That's really weird. The only things I can think: poor quality bolts, or you overtorqued them causing them to be overly stressed in tension.

Also, is it just me, or do they look like they are stainless bolts? (That would be improper)

i would definitely contact nate's and tell them what happened so it doesn't happen to anyone else. If they are sending out crappy bolts they should be told

They sent me those crappy bolts too. They broke. I called. He sent me more. They broke again. I order some from a local auto parts store and have since not had any problems. That sucks. But at least you have enough thread to thread them out the other side instead of drill them out!!

And to get the bolt out, worst case you drill out the bolts and chase the threads.
