Brown Dog Motor Mount Install
Installed my new mounts over the weekend, Man what a difference. I am now just waiting for them to settle and fine tuning the bolt torque to reduce vibes, The drivers side went in without a hitch, but we had hell trying to get the passenger side in. Ended up having to get underneath with a big pry-bar and pry the engine forward in order to get the mount to slip over the stud. Only guess is that it shifted on the jack after we un-bolted the factory ones.
All in All took about 3 hours with stops for beer and food.
- I used a jack and some blocks of wood under the harmonic balancer to lift and hold it.
- All the wrench sizes were metric. 13mm, 15mm, 18mm to remove factory bolts
- All wrench sizes for Brown Dog Mounts were SAE 3/4, 7/16 (note the huge american flag printed on the mounts :-)
All in All took about 3 hours with stops for beer and food.

and compared to the fact that my mounts had chunks of rubber missing and the cross bolts were nearly sitting on the frame rail. Also a difference in construction quality.
