Exclamation Do these spring look right?

hey all i just recently added a 96 XJ to the collection and im not to familiar with them very well and isn't like my TJ so i was hoping some one here will be able to help me?

these springs dont look like there sitting on the axle right but mabye they are im not sure

here are the pictures i have :


see it just looks like its wrong, the coil seems to bow out and if i could get a better picture of how it looks on the axle

No it doesn't look right at all.. FYI the front suspension is the same as on your TJ. So the rule and right and wrong are the same. yes some of the parts, springs and swaybar are diferent, but axel control arms and trackbar are identicle and interchangable. Hard to tell but is the whole axel shifted to the right or are both springs bent in at the bottom? Shifted to one side is missadjusted trackbar

no booth springs are bent in at the bottom like that i would go take a full picture but its dark already but it just looks like there should be a spring plate or something there?

O FYI THERE IS NO SWAY BAR ANYTHING FRONT OR REAR AND FOR SOME REASON IT DOSE NOT SWAY THAT BAD

maybe wrong front springs

how does the spring look when you look at it from over the tire straiught or [pushed forward or pulled back

almost look like the track bar is adjusted to long but you say both are bent in at the bottom

its all straight like theres not a problem but it seems like theres something not there.

are both bent toward each other or in same direction??? it looks like trac bar need to be adjusted.

how old are they, there should be a small retainer clip bolted to the axle that rest on the last coil

yea thats there on both sides but now actually looking at it more i think the springs just need to be turned to fit in the sping plate the correct way. but it still looks like one good flex and the spings will go flying

look like there not seated right in the spring seat on the axle

They look like they are on top of the spring retainer, instead of being underneath it.
