That arrow spot hole 'blocks off' with a piece of alumn supplied with the kit. I drilled and tapped it and screwed in a 90* fitting and attached the brake booster hose there. It makes it nice and clean and short.

What have your charge IATs been with your setup?
Water meth 50/50? Where are you getting this? Are you using blue washer fluid? Where did you mount your fluid reservoir?

Interesting you are using no ignition timing retard. I have always thought/felt that the ECUs had such a low stock advance timing table that they could handle no timing retard with boost up to 6-7 pounds without any problems. I think that the low stock advance timing table is so the jeeps can run and not detonate on junk 'out back/in the boonies' low 80 octane gas.

Stock, I have read of many running a 6* advance crank position sensor mod with no detonation and even an additional 6* advance programmed into the ecu (12* total ignition advance) with no detonation.

I run about 0.5* retard per pound boost.

On the 7th injector. Use the 703 I have now or go bigger?

Kit comes with 7th injector no need to purchase one. It's a 70lb injector

I have modified the cps for 6 deg advance shortly after I bought my jeep and have left it alone since. I'm mixing pure methanol with blue washer fluid to make the 50/50 mix. I don't get detonation until intake temps get near 300. As I'm set up now temps without water meth are around 250 deg with 90 ambient. With water meth I'm around 150 deg max usually around low 100s. I'm using the stock washer fluid tank so I have a low level light. I think I'm using a 6 GPM nozzle.

Thanks.

Where do you get the pure methanol?
What octane gas do you usually get?

That goes a long way towards what I was saying,
stock +6*CPS mod = no detonation
stock +6*CPS mod + 6*addl' programmed in ecu = no detonation(so is said)
boosted 6-8pounds +7th injector, no meth = no detonation with 1/2* retard/pound boost
boosted 12pounds +meth +7th injector = no detonation with 1/2* retard/pound boost
boosted 6-8pounds + 6*CPS mod + larger injectors + meth inj = no detonation (no 7th injector, no timing retard)

Charge Intake Air Temps-
300* = detonation (no meth, no 7th injector, no timing retard, +6*CPS mod)
250*, 90*ambient, (no meth, no 7th injector, no timing retard, +6*CPS mod) = no detonation
150* to 100* with meth 6GPM, +larger injectors +6*CPS mod, no timing retard, no 7th injector = no detonation
140*-165* with 7th injector, 0.5*/pound timing retard, no meth = no detonation

I get the methanol locally at the race track for around $3 a gallon. There is also a race fuel store nearby. I fill up my 5 gallon gas can and that lasts along time when mixing it with the blue washer fluid which is already 20%-30% meth.

I use premium for best power, I run mid grade for long trips and when I don't need the power, I get no audible detonation on mid grade but can feel a power difference when using premium.

I just installed a 2.0" pulley on mine and now I'm making 8lbs at WOT. I'm sure my charge air temp is robbing me of power so I'm installing a devils own water/meth system. I'm just not sure where the best place to install the nozzle is. Should it be before the air temp sensor? Or are you guys injecting into the SC somewhere?

I am thinking about buying the kit from Marty and using this bracket instead to avoid the hole in the hood.

Basically blending 2 kits.

Where are u guys getting your smaller pulleys? How much boost do u guys think the 4.0 can take?

12-13psi will pop your head gasket (i know this from first hand experience).

I wouldn't go over 8-10psi on a stock head gasket.

Not enough boost until the head bolts stretch a quarter inch. Then dial it back a few pounds.

Drill and tap the adapter between the TB and SC and run the meth there like the 7th injector.

There is a lot of BS about whether or not to run fuel or water thru the SC b/c it will 'wear' off the coating on the rotors, Well there is no coating on the early M62s which are more plentiful then the later '92 M62s. It could theoretically 'wear' the coating off the rotors and not fail but just loose a few % of efficiency is what would really happen, over 50,000 miles, maybe. Just go buy another $100 JY SC.

I got my pulley from (pulley boys) website. They are very proud of them. You may want to shop around.
